— OUR APPROACH

Boutique Expertise.
Institutional Rigor.

Mortar combines deep technical knowledge of legacy military equipment with the regulatory, logistical, and documentation standards required for governmental and defense projects, as well as for individual customers and collectors.

We support partners and customers in situations where original manufacturers no longer provide support, supply chains are disrupted, or equipment must be maintained in service far beyond its originally planned lifecycle.

Our work typically includes technical assessment, identification and sourcing of critical components, requalification or redevelopment of obsolete parts, repairs and overhauls, and coordination of licensed international transfers. We operate as a technical and supply partner, taking responsibility for complex or sensitive parts of the project that require experience, discretion, and regulatory compliance.

Partners working with Mortar gain access to specialized technical know-how, a network of qualified manufacturers and repair facilities, and practical experience with international defense trade and licensing.

History

Mortar Investments was established in 2006 in Northern Bohemia, a region with a long industrial and engineering tradition. The company remains privately owned and managed by its founding family.

From collectors to capabilities

— — —The business began as a specialist supplier of military vehicles and equipment for collectors, museums, and film productions. This work required extensive knowledge of legacy platforms, access to hard-to-find components, and the capability to restore and maintain ageing military equipment.

Growth in depth, not just scale

— — —Over time, the company expanded beyond vehicle trading into repair, refurbishment, and manufacturing activities. Growing technical expertise and facilities enabled Mortar Investments to support military vehicles, armoured platforms, and their key systems throughout their operational lifecycle.

Entering defence sector

— — —The next stage of development brought licensed trading in ammunition and explosives, vehicle modernisation programmes, and component manufacturing for defence applications. The company established ongoing relationships with government customers, defence contractors, and industrial partners across Europe.

Today

— — —Today, Mortar Investments specializes in sourcing and manufacturing of large-calibre weapon systems, modernises and certifies military vehicles, and develops specialised technologies for defence applications. The company combines practical experience with legacy platforms and in-house engineering capabilities to support customers in Europe and beyond.

Independent and long-term

As a family-owned company, Mortar Investments operates with a long-term perspective and direct management involvement. This allows for continuity in decision-making, flexibility in execution, and lasting relationships with customers and partners.
